PROGRAMMING
The Envoy installation process is fast and simple, with no need to read a lengthy
manual to program main system functions. The system is shipped ready to
install with peel-off labels, providing a quick reference guide for 'Flash'
programming.
Advanced programming provides greater flexibility in security system
customization. System modifications can include changes to entry and exit delay
times, zone definitions, and the enabling and disabling of specific system options.
You can program the Envoy system using DSC's Windows® Downloading
Software (DLS-3). DLS-3 software enables direct system programming via a
locally connected personal computer or remote programming, using a dial-up
connection. DLS-3 software can also be used to view system status, trouble
conditions, and the system’s 128-event buffer.
TELEPHONE ACCESS
Access the Envoy security system from anywhere in the world using a tone
(DTMF) telephone. The telephone, which becomes a fully functional keypad,
enables the user to remotely disarm or arm the security system and check
system status. In addition, any tone (DTMF) telephone on the premises can be
used to access the Envoy system.
Messages can also be recorded or accessed remotely using a tone (DTMF)
telephone, or locally by simply pressing the record or playback buttons on the
Envoy control unit. The system is also capable of handsfree 2-way voice
communication with the monitoring station via the system's built-in speaker and
microphone.
